The Russian conference (with international participation) on Physics of Neutron Stars will be held at the Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute on June 24-27, 2008. About 100 researchers from different institutions are expected. A large variety of subjects relevant to theory and observations of neutron stars will be discussed.

The official language of the conference is Russian; however, several talks in English can be delivered by foreign participants. Abstracts will be published in English.

There will be several invited talks (25-30 min), a few tens of contributed talks (15-20 min), and a session with discussion of posters. The participants are kindly requested to submit an application form and an abstract before March 31, 2008. Later submissions will be disregarded.

The contributions will be selected by the Organizing Committee. Abstracts of the accepted contributions will be published. An abstract should be in English, not larger than one page in total (e.g., within ca.3000 letters if there is no figure(s)).

Registration fee will be 700 roubles. A limited financial support may be available for Russian participants. Additional information on this support, scientific programme, and accommodation will be presented in the Third announcement (to be distributed by e-mail on June 3).
