Population Synthesis of Relativistic Stars

Doctor of Sciences Thesis

Several parameters of binary stars evolutionary scenaria are investigated by a population synthesis method (direct modelling of large amount of such objects). This method was applied to the study of single and binary radiopulsars, objects in starformation bursts, gamma-ray bursts (in the frame of NS-merging model), and massive binaries with NS and BH components. Some restictions are obtained on initial binary mass ratio distribution, common envelope efficiency, initial kick velocity, BH creation parameters, etc. The last chapter of the dissertation deals with the elliptical accretion disks.
