We derive distribution functions which describe orientation of orbital momenta of binaries containing neutron stars with respect to the spin axis of the Galaxy for various galactic heights. Calculations are performed for two cases: (i) binaries receive kick velocities at supernova explosions; (ii) binaries are accelerated by their X-ray emission (photon rocket effect) during accretion onto a neutron star with asymmetric magnetic field. The results are valid also for binary millisecond radio pulsars assuming they underwent the accretion stage.
