A new class of sources, accreting X-ray millisecond pulsars, has been discovered in 1998 with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. I will review the observational data on the so far five known ms pulsars and present a detailed model of the X-ray production. Among other physical properties, we determine the radius of the neutron star and thus constrain its equation of state.
