This year Ioffe Institute - the world famous research center in physics and technology - celebrates 100-year anniversary of its foundation in 1918 under guidance of Abram Ioffe. The celebration week is planned to be from October 29 till November 2, 2018. One of the main events of the celebration is the International Multidisciplinary Conference “Frontiers of 21st Century Physics and Ioffe Institute” which is organized by the Institute from October 29 to November 1, 2018, in Saint-Petersburg. Conference Program includes Invited talks of about 50 prominent scientists from Russia and abroad and about 30 poster presentations of young researches working in Ioffe Institute, which cover major fields of the Institute research activity: plasma physics, astrophysics, solid state physics, physics of semiconductors, excitons and spintronics, nanoheterostructure technology, semiconductor photonics and electronics, energy conversion and storage, novel materials and carbon nanostructures, biophysics and life sciences. The Conference brings together in warm, friendly and festive atmosphere prominent scientists from all over the world and Russia, including Ioffe Institute honorary members and researchers having long-term collaboration links with the Ioffe Institute scientists, as well as wide audience of young scientists and students. It provides a unique opportunity for discussion and exchange of new ideas, review of key streams in Physics of the 21st Century, and acquaintance of broad audience with the history and current research activity of Ioffe Institute in cooperation with the leading scientific research centers in Russia and other countries. The Conference offers participants an opportunity to observe innovative products developed by industrial companies closely cooperating with Ioffe Institute.
