International Conference
Physics of Neutron Stars
2022, Saint Petersburg, Russia

Very regrettably, we have to announce that the Conference "Physics of Neutron Stars - 2020, originally scheduled on July 20-24, 2020 is shifted to 2022, due to the COVID-19 concerns.

Abstract submission and registration will start anew as will be announced later. Scientific and Local Organizing Committees are supposed to be the same.

We hope the situation will improve soon and we look forward to seeing you in Saint Petersburg next summer.

In case of any questions/comments please contact us.

Thank you for your understanding.

The LOC

This will be the 12th scientific meeting on neutron star physics in Saint Petersburg starting from the first gathering in 1988. It is organized by the Theoretical Astrophysics Department of the Ioffe Institute in collaboration with the Alferov University.

The conference will be held in Saint Petersburg in 2022. The working language is English. The scientific program will include invited talks, contributed talks, and posters, which will be selected by the Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC). A special oral session for young scientists is also planned.

The conference will cover all major topics of observations and theory of neutron stars, particularly, isolated neutron stars, magnetars, radio pulsars, fast radio bursts, classical accreting X-ray pulsars, transitional millisecond pulsars, ultra-luminous X-ray pulsars, pulsar emission mechanisms, evolution of neutron stars, origin and evolution of their magnetic fields, equation of state and structure, mechanisms of supernova explosions and evolution of supernova remnants, gamma-ray observations of pulsars, X-ray polarimetry, neutron star mergers and gravitational-wave astronomy. Results of new space missions (NICER, eROSITA & ART-XC) will be presented.
