Compact NPA modifications The CNPAs of following modifications have been designed.

1) CNPA-L for low energies

  • Energy range:   E H = 64 - 960 eV; E D = 32 - 480 eV.

  • Number of channels in a row:  25.

Fig.5.3 Compact NPA-L channel energies (shown by example of measurements of maxwellian-like spectra (Ti = 200 eV)

2) CNPA-M for thermal and medium energies

  • Energy range:   E H = 0.8 - 80 keV; E D = 0.66 - 0.36 keV.

  • Number of channels in a row:  up to 40.

Fig.5.4 Compact NPA-M channel energies (shown by example of measurements of NBI-like slowing down spectra).

3) CNPA-H for high energies

  • Energy range:   E H = 10 - 160 keV; E D = 5 - 80 keV.

  • Number of channels in a row:  up to 40.

  • This modification of CNPA does not use the acceleration of secondary ions.

  • The increase of maximal energy is achieved by employing of thicker NdFeB magnets ( ~ 16mm).
