International Conference Physics of Neutron Stars – 2017 50 years after July 10 — 14, 2017, Saint Petersburg, Russia

This is the Third Announcement of the International Conference "Physics of Neutron Stars - 2017. 50 years after" to be held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, from July 10 to July 14, 2017.

Dear participants of the conference "Physics of Neutron Stars - 2017" !

It is less than two weeks left before the start of our meeting in Saint Petersburg.

The welcome party of the conference will be held on Sunday, July 9th at 18:00 (6 pm) in the Pushkin Hall (located near the main conference hall) of the conference venue. Participants can bring their accompanying persons to the party free of charge. Participants are encouraged to register during the Welcome party in order to avoid large crowds on Monday. We also ask you to update the arrival date in your personal account of the conference website, so we can estimate the Welcome Party attendance.

Notice that any payments (registration fee, conference dinner, or excursion) will not be possible on Sunday, and will be possible on Monday morning (July, 10). We remind that the early registration fee deadline (July 1st) is right ahead!

The conference starts on Monday, July 10 at 9:45 in the main conference hall of the Academic University. The registration will open on Monday at 8:45. It will be also possible (and it is encouraged) to register during the Welcome party on Sunday.

The organizers have arranged free lunches for the participants from Monday till Friday. The lunches will take place in the "Lesnoe" cafeteria. A map to "Lesnoe" will be included in the participant toolkit. The lunches will take place in two shifts. The majority of the participants will be on the first shift. They should proceed to "Lesnoe" immediately after the end of the morning conference session at about 13:00 (1 pm). The participants from the second shift should come to "Lesnoe" at about 13:45 - 14:00 (1:45 pm - 2 pm). All persons who have booked excursions will be on the first lunch shift.

Conference dinner will take place on Thursday, July 13 at 19:30 (7:30 pm) in the restaurant of the Actors' House (Nevskii pr. 86; near the Mayakovskaya an Ploschad Vosstaniya metro stations). During the dinner we will have a special talk by Dr. Richard Manchester. The bus transfer to the Conference dinner place will be organized at 18:30 (6:30 pm) from the conference site.

Posters will be on display during the entire week in the area near the entrance to the main conference hall. The posters can be installed on the boards during the registration on Sunday and Monday. The number of a poster in a book of abstracts is the number of the board to place it. There will be an informal poster sessions after the end of the evening conference sessions on Monday and Tuesday.
