Kinetic coefficients of neutrons in neutron star cores

P.S. Shternin, M.Baldo, P. Haensel

We calculate thermal conductivity and shear viscosity of beta-equlibrium dense nuclear matter of neutron star cores. The simplest npe$\mu$ composition of neutron star core is considered. Nucleon collisions are treated in Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (BHF) approximation with continuous choice of the self-consistent single-particle potential. The nucleon interaction is described by full Argonne v18 potential with addition of effective phenomenological three-body force which provides correct position of the nuclear matter saturation point. Fermi-liquid polarization and superfluidity effects are neglected. We compare our results with electron and muon kinetic coefficients and with calculations of other groups.
