Visa

A foreigner traveler to Russia must have a valid passport and an appropriate visa. To get the visa, a visitor has to submit to the Russian Embassy or Consulate an official letter of invitation authorized by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Each foreign participant (and accompanying person) will get such a timely letter if he (she) fills-in the relevant fields of the Visa Form and sends this form together with a copy of the first pages of their passport (where all personal data are available) to the Organizing Committee by March 15, 2008, at the latest. The copy of the passport pages should be sent preferably by e-mail as attached graphic file or by fax. The Organizing Committee cannot send the official invitation earlier than 40 days after receiving all papers mentioned above.
Participants are strongly advised to follow these recommendations and to apply for the visa at once after receiving the original copy of the invitation to ensure that the visa is issued timely. Please, check with your local Russian Consulate/Embassy about required documents to obtain the visa and visa processing time and visa fee

In summary, steps to obtain a visa:
Step 1 Fill out "Visa Form" and submit it to the Local Organizing Committee with supporting documents
Step 2 Wait ~ 40 days to get an official invitation letter from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affair via the Local Organizing Commitee
Step 3 Apply for the visa in the local Russian Embassy/Consulate

We look forward to seeing you at the International Conference "Nanodiamond'2008"
