Physics of Neutron Stars - 2008

Third announcement

The conference will be held at the Big Hall of the Main Building of the Ioffe Institute (Politekhnicheskaya street 26). Participants will be able to enter the Institute by showing their passports at the main entrance.

The conference programme is now available here (it may be slightly changed).

Participants will be accommodated at five hotels. The distribution list of participants over hotels and the detailed hotel information are put in the section Accommodation. If you requested hotel booking, please check your arrival and departure dates and the number of accompanying persons (if any).

If you have a talk, please check the scheduled time in the Program section.

Presentations can be made using either multimedia projector or overhead projector. Electronic presentations (with multimedia projector) are preferable. Please prepare them according to the technical note given here. They should be given using the conference notebook (not your personal notebook). Electronic files should be loaded (with USB flash memory, CD, or DVD) and checked in advance (before a morning session on a presentation day at the latest).

You are kindly requested to inform us by e-mail (ns@astro.ioffe.ru) by June 10 which tools you will use for presentation. In the same e-mail please confirm your arrival and departure dates.

The conference is supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, by the Dynasty Foundation, by the Physics Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and by the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The support is sufficient only to cover hotel charges for 4 days (from 23.06 through 27.06) of participants (but not of their accompanying persons) accommodated at the hotels "Orbita", "Nauka", and "Nika".

In accord with the Second Announcement, the conference fee of 700 roubles has to be paid by the participants in cash at the registration desk.
