St.Petersburg is located in the North-West edge of Russia. There are direct flights to St Petersburg from more than 35 cities of 28 countries in the world and 39 Russian cities. Another convenient way to reach St. Petersburg is by train from Helsinki or Moscow.

Symposium venue is conveniently located, combining quick transport connection to the international airport and to the suburbian tourist attractions (summer palaces of Tsars) and easy reach to the city center.

 For all foreign attendees of the Symposium (
who have entered the arrival flight details properly and in time) a free transfer from the airport will be arranged.
Also bus transfer will be arranged every morning from U Fontana and Rossia hotels to the Symposium venue, and back after the working day.

Those, who miss this transfer, can use municipal and commercial busses according to the map below. Time interval between municipal buses is 11-14 min., fare is 18 rubles, to be paid in cash to the conductor. Commercial buses come quicker, fare is 24 rubles to be paid in cash to the driver. To your general information: walk time from the Russia hotel to the Park Inn is 25 min.

The Congress center of Pulkovskaya hotel is to be reached by the residents of other hotels from the back side of the building. If you approach it from the main entrance, go around the building clockwise (around the left corner) . Residents of Pulkovskaya hotel go to the "second block" by 2...7 floor level, then take the elevator down to the ground floor.

Connection with ICDERS-22

22nd International Colloquium 22nd International Colloquium on the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems will be held in Minsk, Belarus, just after 27 ISSW on July 27-31, 2009, see http://www.icders2009.com/

 

All 27th ISSW participants kindly invited to attend 22nd ICDERS. There is a good transport connection between St. Petersburg and Minsk (the distance is about 900 km) : motorway, a number of flights, night trains.
