St. Petersburg is the city placed on several tens of islands in the delta of the river Neva connected to each other by more than 100 bridges. You will enjoy the wonderful view of the city from water. The trip will start in the very vicinity of the Hotel "Saint-Petersburg". The boats will pass on the rivers and channels of the historic centre of St. Petersburg. You will see architecture masterpieces of XVII-XIX centuries such as the St. Nicolas Cathedral, the Anichkov Palace, the Mariinskiy Palace, the Summer Garden, etc. The boats will pass under beautiful bridges of the Fontanka river, the Moika river and the Griboedov Channel. Then the boats will come to the main stream of the river Neva and you will see the Winter Palace, the "Bronze Horseman" monument, the Admiralty, the eastern edge (Strelka) of the Vasilievsky Island. The trip will put out shortly to the Gulf of Finland. One stop (20-30 min) will be organized in the Central park of St. Petersburg (Yelagin Island) during the trip. Yelagin Island is in the northern part of the Neva delta. You will see the Yelagin Palace. The charming summer palace was built in 1818 by the young architect Carlo Rossi for Alexander I who used it as a summer residence for his mother, Empress Maria Fyodrovna. Then the boats will return to the Hotel "St. Petersburg" passing on the Neva river. The excursion will take approximately 4.5 hours. The three double-deck boats will be available, so you can choose where to sit - in the open or under the roof. It may be windier on water than in the city so it would be better to take spare jackets or sweaters with you.
