Konus-WIND database

The Russian gamma-ray spectrometer Konus is mounted on the Wind (NASA) spacecraft, which is currently in orbit around the Lagrange point L1 of the Earth-Sun system. T he Konus-WIND (KW) experiment observes the entire celestial sphere in the energy range 20 keV–20 MeV continuously since its launch in November 1994. Due to the absence of interference from the Earth's magnetosphere and stable radiation background, the experiment provides unique data on transient phenomena of extragalactic, galactic and solar origin.

The current section presents results of search and analysis of transient events of distinct origin in the KW waiting mode data.
