First Announcement

This letter is to inform you that the 25^th International Conference on Defects in Semiconductors (ICDS-25) will be held in July 20-24, 2009 in St. Petersburg, Russia. For detailed information please visit our site www.ioffe.ru/icds-25/. The Conference site will be constantly updated with new information.

The scope of ICDS-25 covers basic and applied research on point and extended defects, shallow and deep impurities (including magnetic impurities) in bulk materials as well as in low-dimensional structures, nanoscale structures, and oxide layers. Materials of current interest include the group-IV semiconductors and their alloys, II-V and II-VI compound semiconductors, III nitrides and alloys, organic and magnetic semiconductors.

If you are interested in such a meeting you are kindly invited to participate in the Conference. We kindly ask you to forward this information to your colleagues and students who might be interested in participating. To be on the mailing list of the Conference please register in the Conference website www.ioffe.ru/icds-25/.

We request your input for sessions and invited speakers with a one-page justification, separately for each suggestion. The information for consideration should include the following points: (i) tentative title, (ii) candidate's name, (iii) candidate's affiliation and email address, (iv) short convincing statement and a few appropriate references, and (v) type of presentation (plenary or invited). Please email your suggestion(s) to the Chairman of the Program Committee emtsev@mail.ioffe.ru by October 26, 2008. Please specify "program suggestion" in the subject line. Your suggestion can be sent in your email message in TEXT format or as an attachment in MS Word format.
